Earl’s Court Society

About us

The Earl’s Court Society is an organisation that represents the interests of all residents who live in the Earl’s Court area. The primary functions of the organisation are to deal with planning and licensing, our environment and lobbying the Council. We want to make the organisation more inclusive and promote a sense of community well-being in this diverse, multi-cultural inner London area facing massive changes.

Our aim

Our vision for the Breathe London air nodes is to:

  • Provide the science and data to facilitate lobbying of TFL and local government to act to reduce and mitigate the effects of air pollution along some of London’s business roads.

  • Provide information as a tool for community engagement: we have promised to share data with the local school, businesses, NHS sites and residents, potentially including regular updates in community newsletters and even as an education opportunity for the local state primary school.

  • Measure the impact of future changes in the area and measures we look forward to introducing: for example, we wish to see what impact the building project of the Earls Court Site Development may have and what impact on air pollution the introduction of cities trees or nearby tree planting may have.
